  Kharafi National Hosts ACK students
  In pursuing with its continuous efforts in fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility, Kharafi National (KN) trained a group of students from The School of Engineering, Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) in specific job oriented skills as part of an "Spring/summer Internship Program".

ACK – Engineering hosted its internship ceremony to recognize 25 students who participated in a pilot "Spring/summer Internship Program". Among the attendees were employers from diverse industries who supervised and imparted training to the students over a six week internship period.

  Limak and Kuwaiti agent Kharafi National signed $4.34bn deal to build Kuwait International Airport terminal.
Kuwait's Public Works Minister H.E. Ali Al-Omair was signed a KD 1.3-billion ($4.4-billion) contract with Turkish firm Limak and its Kuwaiti agent Kharafi National for the construction of a new airport terminal capable of handling passengers three times more than the existing capacity. The new terminal, due to be completed in six years, will raise passenger handling capacity in Kuwait International Airport to 25 million passengers annually from around seven million now, the minister said. He also stated the new terminal will accommodate all aircraft types at 51 gates in addition to 30 new gates that can handle 21 Airbus 380 superjumbos simultaneously.

  Al Shaheed Park is a finalist in the 2016 Building of the Year Awards!

In 1987, Kuwait had started plans to create a “green belt” around the country to protect it from sand storms, but this idea was shelved.  Now, almost 3 decades later, Kharafi National (KN) is one of the major players involved in resurrecting the green belt idea through designing and rebuilding the Al Shaheed Park in Dasman, one of Kuwait’s biggest parks.

  KN Security team received appreciation from the Ministry of Interior, Kuwait
The Foreman of our security team in Shuaiba camps received appreciation from the Ministry of Interior in recognition of the team's efforts in supporting reduction of crime and effective emergency response to a number of dangerous fires occurring at the camp and in its vicinity during the year 2014. Mr. Mohamed Shabana, the foreman of KN Security Dept. received the appreciation certificate on behalf of the team from Mr. Hussein Ali Al-Roomy, Director of Oil Sector Projects, Ministry of Interior. The award is testimony to the dedication and spirit of our Security team who maintained the standard of excellence.

  Kuwait's Sulaibiya Plant to set new global benchmark – Upgraded with GE's advanced water reuse technology
KUWAIT: Kuwait's Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation Plant is set to become the world's largest-of-its-kind facility that uses membrane technology following an agreement to drive expansion. GE will provide ZeeWeed 1000 submerged hollow-fiber membranes and AG LF low-fouling reverse osmosis (RO) membranes for the plant that will enhance its production capacity from 375,000 to 600,000 cubic meters per day, making it the largest such facility in the world. Kharafi National will undertake the expansion works. Dr Ibrahim Al-Ghusain, Corporate Director, Kharafi National said: "Sulaibiya Wastewater Treatment and Reclamation Plant leverages the world's most advanced technologies to accelerate our operational efficiency and strengthen production capacity.

This is led by our commitment to support the country in meeting its growing water requirements. In 2004, when the project was commissioned, it was the world's largest to use reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration membrane-based water purification, also provided by GE. Through this expansion, we are taking our facility to the next level by continuing to use the most-modern technologies available."

  ABJ has completed fabrication of two Evaporators for "Carbon Black & Delayed Coker" project in Abu-Dhabi.
ABJ has completed fabrication of two "Multi Stage Flash" type Evaporators for Takreer for their "Carbon Black & Delayed Coker" project in Abu-Dhabi.

The client is FISIA ITALIMPIANTI for the main Contractor Samsung Engineering Company Ltd.

The evaporators were fabricated from Duplex stainless steel and each Evaporator consists of 75,000 Titanium tubes and involved drilling of 450,000 high precision holes on the Duplex stainless steel. The Distillate production rate for Evaporator is 350 m³ / hr and includes 21 Stages plus one De-aerator.
